The Smashburger Revolution Hits Number 9

Smashburger, the controversial addition to the Eater 38 essential restaurant guide, is working on its ninth local location in Las Vegas. The 1,886-square-foot project will take over a shuttered Tacos Los Toritos at the outdoor Charleston Festival mini-mall.

They'll be joining a Denny's and Capriotti's Sandwich Shop at an advantageous site across the street from the College of Southern Nevada.

In August, Smashburger founder and chief concept officer Tom Ryan told Eater Vegas, the company's local restaurant portfolio will grow to "15 to 20 in the future."
