The Dos Caminos Mexican restaurant chain only managed to last five months in the former Agave space in Summerlin despite strong name recognition, a coveted patio with fire pits and a passionate fan base for their guacamole. But a replacement tenant has been found for the site, vacant since the surprise July shutter.
Distill, created by the same team behind Remedy's and newly opened Elixir in Henderson, will fill the void and is promoting itself as a "local's bar." It will keep the gaming machine element of Dos Caminos, operating 15 games and add new distractions such as a Golden Tee arcade game, pool tables and 18 HDTVs. They have named the patio Distill's Backyard, which like the main room, will serve "hand crafted food and cocktails." The vibe of the new venture is described as "fun," "high volume" and the "ultimate city escape."
