DOWNTOWN — Starting today the World Food Championships hosted by Ben Vaughn of the Food Network's Health Inspectors takes place at the Fremont Street Experience and Fremont East. More than 300 competitors from average home cooks to professionally trained chefs will compete in seven different categories and then the champions of those categories will meet on Sunday for the Best in Show final table. Jaleo and Comme Ça will serve up dishes while the resort's executive chef Jeff Walter dishes out a German-inspired menu.
