— The Best of Silver State Restaurants & Lounges Awards take place tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Sands Showroom. Top restaurants, lounges and chefs will be honored at the event. The night starts at 5 p.m. with a silent auction and Champagne reception with passed hors d'oeuvres hosted by the Venetian and Moet Hennessey and the one-hour awards ceremony will commence at 6 p.m. Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse will be a special guest presenter. Tickets to the awards ceremony are $40 and include admission to the Champagne cocktail reception as well as reserved seating for the ceremony. [EaterWire]

VENETIAN — The Culinary Clash Master Chef Competition comes to the resort tonight and tomorrow night as part of the Winter in Venice. Chef Emeril Lagasse will be back as a celebrity judge for the Culinary Clash, which pits chefs from Venetian and Palazzo restaurants against one another inside mobile food truck kitchens starting at 7 p.m. both nights. New this year, a Masters of Mixology, a spirited competition among resort bartenders, hosted by master mixologist Dale Degroff. During the competition, two teams will be headed by celebrity mixologists Tony Abou Ganim and Francesco Lafranconi, each leading a team of four bartenders. The winning chef and mixology teams will receive a trip to Italy. This event is free. [EaterWire]

— Red Dragon LLC in collaboration with the dance crew Jabbawockeez, Deftal Entertainment and The National Federation of Filipino American Associations Nevada Chapter will host LV4PH, a festival relief effort to aid the victims of Typhoon Yolanda, in the east parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will feature a headlining performance by Jabbawockeez and additional live entertainment and cultural acts will be presented by Deftal Entertainment. More than 50 vendors will be present at the event including food trucks as well as other businesses who will donate their net proceeds to the relief fund. [EaterWire]

PALAZZO — The sixth annual Carnival of Cuisine comes to the resort from 1 to 4 p.m. on the Palazzo pool deck. Find tastings from 20 restaurants including Aquaknox, B&B Ristorante, Bouchon, Café Presse, Carnevino, Cut, Delmonico Steakhouse, Grand Lux Café, Lagasse's Stadium, Lavo, Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro, Otto Enoteca Pizzeria, Pinot Brasserie, Public House, Postrio Bar & Grill, SushiSamba, Table 10, Tao and Zine Noodles Dim Sum. General admission tickets are $60. VIP tickets are $85 and include an early entry at 12:30 p.m. A portion of every ticket price will benefit Three Square. [EaterWire]
