Bautista's Filipino Kitchen, self-billed as the "hippest and best tasting Filipino food in the Hawaiian islands" is bringing an outpost of their successful Hawaiian chain to the Galleria at Sunset food court.
BFK Express will be tucked between a Dairy Queen and Hot Dog on a Stick. With four locations in Hawaii, the company debuted in 1986 offering menu items like dinuguan, pancit and sinigang with authentic flavors, but also adding French- and Spanish-style influence from the chef owner's European roots.
Currently hiring staff, BFK hopes to be open by the end of December. The company is also reportedly looking to expand beyond this mainland location into California.
