Almost a year after Eater Vegas first reported on plans for a retro, pin up girl-themed pizza place coming to the Strip, the vision is very close to opening at the Planet Hollywood Resort. Located next door to Pink's Hot Dogs, Pin Up Pizza was quietly abandoned for a few months until the idea resurfaced in September under the new project name PH Pizza. Now the concept has firmly flipped back to the glamor girl theme.

Behind the construction wall, prominent signage is taking shape. The earliest plans called for a garish yellow display with red and yellow lettering animated with changing colors and flashing lights. A neon wall sign was also intended to resemble the shape of a woman.

The 760-square-foot space was designed for a maximum occupancy of 58 and factored-in an estimated $550,000 for construction costs. As opening date quickly approaches, the casual restaurant its hiring kitchen team members and more notably, is looking for "girls with the pin-up look for snack bar attendants."

Since the pizza joint was first proposed, Planet Hollywood's in-house burlesque production Peepshow, starring Coco Austin has shuttered, but over at the Stratosphere, a variety show coincidentally named Pin Up starring 2011 Playboy Playmate of the Year Claire Sinclair has debuted and is still flouncing to its retro rhythms.
