B&B Burger & Beer
Address: Venetian, 3355 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
Status: Opens tonight, full steam ahead tomorrow
After a four-month delay, Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich are ready to unveil their B&B Burger & Beer at the Venetian tonight. Batali flies into Vegas today to headline La Cucina Italiana Food & Wine fest.
Last June when Batali announced the new restaurant, he said, "It'll be food that you want to eat. It's food that is not about reservations. It's not about confusing terms on the menu. It's about simple delicious food made in a beautiful bar setting where you can relax, come in and get out quickly if you want, or spend a lot of time enjoying our wine list or Italian hospitality."
The fourth restaurant in Vegas from the duo features dishes that use local ingredients and a beer-driven menu that focuses on brews from Nevada and Southern California. They already have Otto Enoteca Pizzeria, Carnevino and B&B Ristorante at the resorts.
The 120-seat restaurant features a 2,000-square-foot patio with seating for 100 more facing Las Vegas Boulevard. Bright colors pepper the decor and 20 televisions tuned to sports dot the landscape. A 2Go window replete with beers on tap at the front of the restaurant looks like it will feed the sports book next door.
