A full day of voting is over, and now it's time to declare a winner in Eater Vegas' Hot Chefs competition. Matt Piekarski, the executive chef of Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas, won in a close battle that had him defeating Noe Alcala of Hussong's Cantina, Angelo Sosa of Poppy Den and Daniel Swift, a chef and instructor at UNLV. Piekarski beat out Alcala by a mere 10 votes.
Soon, Piekarski will represent Las Vegas in a no-holds-barred national hot chef death match, featuring cooks from all of the other Eater cities.
Congratulations to all the hot chefs who participated, and thanks to all the readers that nominated chefs and voted in the competition.
