As promised, Tivoli Village's Pizza Lounge will feature chandeliers and custom dark wood furnishings. If the interior progress of their non-traditional pizza joint is an indication, they are well on their way to meet their announced March opening date.

The restaurant was able to make full use of the pizza oven left by Radio City Pizzeria , which vacated Tivoli Village in August 2012 and are scheduled to open their own space on Downtown's Fremont Street later this month.

Pizza Lounge's two California locations in Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach provide the template and owners Ken Henderson of The Best Agency and Gary Decker will be bringing 13 artisan draft beers and eclectic music to Las Vegas. The gourmet pizzas will include such novelties as "pear gorgonzola, shrimp chipotle and alligator sausage." They aim to be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and patio dining is part of their future plans.

Elsewhere in the busy Tivoli Village culinary scene, the plywood long promised L.A. chef Sam Marvin's Echo & Rig steakhouse has been stripped of all advertising announcing the restaurant. It planned to be located opposite Bradley Ogden's future Hops & Harvest, inside the former Bottles & Burgers.
