Los Angeles chef Sam Marvin looks like he's moving forward with his Echo & Rig Steakhouse & Butcher Shop in Tivoli Village.
The chef, who opened Downtown LA's Bottega Louie in 2009 and split with the restaurant in September 2011 to form his own company, plans to feature meat and more than 75 farm fresh items on the menu in the 10,000-square-foot restaurant.
On the butcher shop side, a press release says it will offer ready to cook and ready-to-eat beef, pork, lamb and game as well as a retail area.
Expect an early summer opening.
The restaurant joins other newbies at Tivoli including Poppy Den, Cantina Laredo, View Wine Bar & Kitchen and coming attractions Pizza Lounge and Bradley Ogden's much anticipated Hops & Harvest.
