Chris Herrin announced that he shut down Meat & Three, his Southern-style cafeteria in Henderson in a note posted on Facebook.

"I want to thank everyone that came to Meat and 3 during its short run, can't really blame the closing/selling on one thing more a combo of just a lost of desire, focus, commitment, and follow thru on my part," Herrin says on Facebook.

Meat & Three opened in October as the Southern concept of a meat and three sides, along with a collection of puddings for dessert. It sits in the same shopping center as Herrin's Bread & Butter bakery, which plans to remain open. In January, Herrin pondered on Facebook that he may convert Bread & Butter into "just a bakery" and only keep Meat & Three open three days a week because it wasn't busy enough.

Herrin earlier this year opened Meat & Three up to pop-up dinners from local chefs with the proceeds going to charity.
