Emeril Lagasse is about to add another medal to his collection. The chef behind four Vegas outposts was named the 2013 Humanitarian of the Year by the James Beard Foundation for granting, "over $5.3 million to children's education and culinary arts programs in New Orleans, Las Vegas, and the Gulf Coast."
