Jugoo Chinese Restaurant at 4747 S. Maryland Parkway was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District on Feb. 4 for an imminent health hazard. Inspectors paid a visit to the restaurant to re-inspect the place only to find that sewage or liquid waste was not disposed of in an approved manner, calling for the immediate closure of the restaurant.
The re-inspection came after an original visit to the restaurant unveiled 18 demerits on Jan. 24.
This isn't Jugoo's first brush with SNHD. The restaurant has been shut down three other times in 2011 and twice in 2012 after racking up more than 40 demerits.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
