Michael Mina's Pub 1842 Previews at Vegas Uncork'd

Now comes the first word that Michael Mina's Pub 1842 plans to open sometime after Vegas Uncork'd. The chef plans to preview his menu for the restaurant during the May 9-12 event from Bon Appétit that takes over Vegas.

The restaurant, which takes the place of Mina's Seablue at the MGM Grand, plans to feature craft beer, snacks, shellfish, sausage and burgers as wells as vintage design accents. Seablue closed Aug. 6.

Mina will showcase dishes from his new restaurant at the Grand Tasting at the Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace on May 10.

Pub 1842 plans to feature Pullman booths and an elevated dining area at the entrance, while the lounge and bar offers wooden stools. A faux-pub entryway with new metal awnings, pebble glass panel doors and 1842 painted on the glass transom greets guests as they enter.
