Sup on Wines During Golden Nugget's Wine Revolution

Winos can get their drink on during the Wine Revolution at the Golden Nugget April 12-14. Dubbed a competition with wines from North America vs. South America, the three-day wine festival brings together consumers, winemakers and winery owners with poolside receptions, wine tastings, silent and live wine auctions and more.

The tastings kick off Friday, April 12, with a Poolside Champagne and Wine reception from 8 to 10 p.m. Guests can meet winemakers, owners and fellow wine enthusiasts while listening to smooth jazz at the pool and shark aquarium, The Tank. These tickets go for $35.

Also on Friday, the Golden Nugget just added Wines from Two Hemispheres: A Golden Nugget Las Vegas Signature Wine Dinner with winemaker Bob Pepi and chef Alex Irlandes. guests can dine at 7 p.m. on the Tank pool deck, where wines from Argentinean winery Valentin Bianchi and California boutique wineries Two Angels, Eponymous and Angels Secret. This dinner goes for $95 and includes admission to the Poolside Champagne & Wine Kick-off Reception.

The Grand Tasting takes place on Saturday, April 13 with 120 wine selections from California, Chile and Argentina. The event will be held in The Grand events center from 7 to 10 p.m. and guests can cast their votes for the best wines and regions while pairing wines with chef appetizer. These tickets are $100.

Also on Saturday, Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse has an Introduction to South American Wines. Master sommelier Larry Stone leads a tasting of 12 wines at noon with tickets for $35. Also added, Stone, winemaker Pepi and winery owner George Daou offer A Cabernet Contrast: North vs. South America at 2:30 p.m. inside Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse. The trio shows off 12 cabernets from Chile, Argentina and California. Tickets for the tasting are $45. Or guests can get tickets for both seminars for $75.

On the final day, Sunday, April 14, a Champagne and Jazz Brunch takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Look for made-to-order crepes, a bloody Mary bar and a selection of sparkling wines. Afterward, a live auction features wine lots, large format collector's bottles and more. Tickets to the brunch and auction can be purchased individually for $100.

The event ends at the Golden Nugget's Hideout pool with Wine Down with the Winemakers for $25.
