Gangnam Asian BBQ Beats Kitchen Gangnam to Debut

Gangnam Asian BBQ Dining is open for grilling, across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel within the same Paradise Esplanade as Origin India. Their name derives from the upscale Gangnam-gu neighborhood of Seoul, South Korea, and perhaps the omnipresent K-Pop hit "Gangnam Style" sung by Vegas habitué Psy.

The restaurant features wooden benches, rich red accents, projection TVs and an emphasis of fresh ingredients. The Korean focus is augmented with optional Japanese, Yakiniku style preparation.

The Gangnam name recognition has also inspired the still under construction Korean restaurant at 5125 W. Sahara Ave., now to be called The Kitchen Gangnam. Their substantial 6,500-square-foot restaurant space has been under construction since November.
