Chef Carla Pellegrino Says Cat Poisoned by a Neighbor

Chef Carla Pellegrino is mourning the loss of her 16-month-old cat Miccio, who she believes was deliberately killed by "by some sick neighbor of mine."

Posting a photograph of a two-week-old Miccio, Italian for kitty, the recent Top Chef contestant broke the news via Twitter and Facebook, receiving dozens of sympathetic responses.

Local gossip columnist Norm Clarke tweeted Miccio was found "under rose plant in Pellegrino's backyard" adding " animal control said rat poison caused death." The Meatball Spot and Bratalian chef has reported the incident as a crime.
