SNHD Shuts Down Origin India with 52 Demerits

After a one-week period when the Southern Nevada Health District's restaurant inspections Website was not reporting new inspections comes news that Origin India at 4480 Paradise Road was shuttered Feb. 28 with 52 demerits after a routine inspection.

SNHD inspectors found no hot and cold running water from an approved source, spoiled food, staff not properly washing their hands and more.

This isn't the first time the restaurant has been shut down by the SNHD. After routine inspections in August 2011 and June 2010, the health department shuttered the restaurant with 49 and 69 demerits respectively.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
