Now the new pool party and dayclub coming to Mandalay Bay has a name. Daylight Beach Club from The Light Group plans to open May 25, inspired by Ushuaia, the nightclub in Ibiza.

Look for a tropical getaway at this dayclub, which plans to have room for 5,000. The main pool is surrounded by three wet decks taking up 50,000 square feet of outdoor space. A 1,500-square-foot stage decked out in vines and metal mesh is framed by six LED screens.

The deejay scene at the pool is fueled by the residencies just announced at Light Nightclub, the joint effort from The Light Group and Cirque du Soleil opening in Mandalay Bay in April. Expect Skrillex, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, Alesso, Baauer, Nicky Romero and more on the decks.

The pool itself, created by James Gundy at 1027 Design Management, features a Mediterranean color palette in earth tones. Mexican wall sconces and fixtures, rustic planters and decorative ironwork create the art for this space. The 4,400-square-foot pool will feature 70 daybeds, 23 cabanas and two bungalows. The cabanas come equipped with safes while bungalows feature private restrooms, servers and pools.

On the menu look for cocktails such as The Clooney, The Baja and Daylight White Sangria. The Light Group's corporate executive chef Brian Massie created the menu that includes maki rolls, cucumber rolls and tuna sashimi.

Daylight is just one of five new additions to Mandalay Bay from The Light Group. The newly revamped Red Square just reopened in December, while Citizens Kitchen & Bar opened in January. Aside from Light Nightclub in April, look for Akira Back's new Japanese restaurant to debut sometime this summer in the former China Grill space.
