Highly controversial chef Conrad Gallagher's arrival in Las Vegas has reached the Special Use Permit stage.
Although announcing PoshBurger Bistro would open on March 15, the upscale burger joint first needs to pass a March 12 Planning Commission permit meeting. The commission has recommend approving the motion "subject to conditions."
The 2,664-square-foot space features room for 120 people. Design accents include black ceramic tile floors and solid oak counter tops. But the main feature of the joint is the communal seating — nine 8-foot by 3-foot rectangular tables with bench seating for four people on either side. Graffiti art will cover the walls. Despite the Downtown vibe, the Uptown prices for free-range gourmet burgers include a $19 Black Angus and a $29 Kobe upgrade.
PoshBurger expects to be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and is located in the same retail complex as Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria & Bar. A recent job posting indicated the bistro was looking for "the coolest hip servers" and "hot hostesses." Head shots were encouraged alongside resumes.
