New Cocktails at the Silverton; Poppy Den Charity Dine

SILVERTON — Flare Bar, Shady Grove Lounge & Bar and Mermaid Restaurant & Lounge debut their new Signature 7 specialty cocktail menu on March 18. Guests can order drinks such as the Perfect Manhattan made with Bulleit bourbon, sweet and dry vermouth and blood orange bitters for $10; the Maple Blackberry Sour made with Crown Royal Maple whiskey, sweet and sour, fresh blackberries and St. Germain liqueur for $10; and Peaches and Cream made with Ciroc Peach vodka, half and half, fresh orange juice and Licor 43 for $8 24/7. TIVOLI VILLAGE — Poppy Den continues Meaningful Mondays, a community giving program the gastropub created to raise money for local charities with a slate of new nonprofits. From 6 to 10 p.m., the restaurant will donate 20 percent of the proceeds made to a different local charity.  Upcoming charities include Opportunity Village on March 11, The Shade Tree on March 18, Susan G. THE DISTRICT — Rachel's Kitchen holds its third annual St. Baldrick's Day event on March 16 from 1 to 4 p.m. The charity event raises money for childhood cancer research and raised $17,000 in the past two years. Carla Rae from 96.3 KKLZ hosts. The restaurant also kicks off its Music and Mimosas series on Sunday, March 16, from 9 a.m. to noon.
