Papa Murphy's, a nationwide pizza franchise specializing in a "take-n-bake" concept, is expanding its presence in Las Vegas to a sixth locale.
The franchise's do-it-yourself approach allows customers to choose their pizza size, have an employee add the toppings, then guests take the uncooked pizza home to bake. Papa Murphy's recommends a setting of 425 degrees. In addition to other cook at home specialties like cinnamon wheels and chocolate chip cookie dough, they offer a child's meal version of their pies called the Mini Murph.
The gimmick lowers the costs and has allowed the company to expand to more than 1,300 national stores, making them fifth-largest pizza chain in the country. Their 3,975-square-foot, sixth Las Vegas store, will be located in strip mall already home to Ohjah Japanese Steakhouse & Hibachi.
