Oft-maligned China A Go Go at 4780 W. Ann Road landed 39 demerits from the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on April 9.
Inspectors found ineffective pest controls, no hot and cold running water from an approved source, food unprotected from potential contamination and more.
Last March, the restaurant was shut down by SNHD after a re-inspection found too many demerits. The restaurant also landed C grades following inspections in 2010 and 2011. The previous inspection on Sept. 7 earned the restaurant a B grade, upgraded to an A on Sept. 20 after a re-inspection.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
