SNHD is at it again, shutting down two restaurants this week. Tamba Indian Cuisine at 3743 Las Vegas Blvd. S. was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on April 16 unveiled 49 demerits.
Inspectors found spoiled food, no hot and cold running water from an approved source and staff not properly washing their hands during the inspection.
This isn't Tamba's first run-in with SNHD. The restaurant was shut down last November with 56 demerits and kept closed with too many violations during a re-inspection.
Also shut down, Amanecer Salvadoreno at 1524 S. Main St., with 47 demerits found April 16 during a routine inspection. Among the violations, spoiled food, potentially hazardous foods stored at the wrong temperature and more.
Amanecer Salvadoreno was shut down last April with 49 demerits.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
