Delays

The Las Vegas Sun is reporting the iconic Downtown bar Atomic Liquors has once again delayed its official reopening date, this time until May. While hosting private events, the company's Facebook page confirms the current prohibition to the general public. A major remodel of the 2,500-square-foot space began in summer 2012. Updated décor will include displays dedicated to bar's history, retro Vegas art and tributes to the city's atomic past. Las Vegas' oldest bar, the 68-year-old building began hosting Atomic Liquors in 1952 until the previous incarnation shuttered on Jan. 1, 2011. [LVS]
