New Menu Items at Slice; New Cocktails at Fogo

MANDALAY PLACE — Slice of Vegas just added some new pizzas, soups and sandwiches to the menu. Look for oven-roasted cauliflower tips with almond pesto and garlic; Tuscan sausage soup with mild Italian sausage, russet potatoes and fresh kale in a light cream broth; and pasta Fagoli, made of Ditalini pasta, navy beans, prosciutto broth, onions, celery, carrots and diced tomatoes. New pies include the Back East Buffalo topped with chicken tenders, julienned carrots and celery and a drizzle of ranch and buffalo sauce; the Hurry It's Curry pizza with curry sauce, mozzarella and Fontina cheese and the choice of smoked chicken or a vegetable mix of jicama, mint and basil slaw; the Choked Pig with pesto aioli, mozzarella cheese, bacon, artichoke mix and chopped basil finished with whiskey sour cream; and the Hawaiian 5-0 with tomato sauce and mozzarella with seared spam, dehydrated pineapple, bacon, dill and a sprinkle of nori. New sandwiches include the Portobello Philly, combining a toasted hoagie roll with Portobello mushrooms, peppers and onions, and provolone cheese, and Reno's Chicken Sandwich on a brioche bun with grilled chicken breast, arugula, roasted tomato, Fontina cheese, jalapeño bacon and a pesto aioli spread. Also new, the Blue Cheese Burger with a half-pound short rib/chuck patty topped with jalapeño bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onions, avocado, lettuce and blue cheese on a brioche bun finished with Slice's "Secret Sauce."
