GREEN VALLEY RANCH — Terra Verde has a new selection of specials just for spring. Executive chef Massimo Pisati is now featuring dishes inspired by his youth in Milan, Italy. Look for Burrata ai Lamponi, a warm burrata cheese with grilled artichokes, raspberry puree and micro citrus and Fritto mistro All'italiana, flash-fried seafood, on the appetizer specials. New pastas include Spaghetti Chitarra All' Aragosta, which includes lobster meat and a lobster reduction, and Risotto Porcini, Speck e Tartufo, risotto with porcini mushrooms, speck and truffle oil. For entrees, Terra Verde now has Branzino al Cedro in a truffle balsamic sauce, and Vitello ai Carciofi, a pan-seared veal pocket stuffed with artichokes and crescenza cheese. [EaterWire]
SPRINGS PRESERVE — Sweet treats and yummy eats will be on the menu at the annual all-you-can-eat Ice Cream Festival on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family-friendly event features stations serving ice cream sundaes and novelties and root beer floats with entertainment for all ages including airbrush tattoos, a photo booth, pony rides, family bingo, and a bubble play station.
