With the grand opening of the Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada today comes the new The Bronze Cafe, a casual approach to meals with grab and go dishes. The cafe serves up a coffee and espresso menu, fresh smoothies and pastries made in-house from scratch.
The restaurant has a heavy vegan influence. Look for sandwiches such as the roasted veggie, BLT and California turkey as well as a beet salad, bacon and chicken chop chop and Asian marinated kale. Grab and go dishes include a curried quinoa, farro salad, edamame, hummus and babaganoosh. They also have desserts such as a raw vegan strawberry "cheese" cake and banana "cream" pie, a huge Almond Joy cookie, flavored honey sticks and an apple cinnamon strawberry turnover.
The owners are hoping this becomes a community destination where people meet for walk-in breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
