A re-inspection by the Southern Nevada Health District didn't help Thai Pepper Too at 2226 Paradise Road from being shut down by the agency on Wednesday. The restaurant, which originally received 38 demerits during a routine inspection on April 15, earned 36 demerits during the second visit.
SNHD inspectors found spoiled food, food held at the wrong temperature, food unprotected from contamination and more during the revisit.
This isn't Thai Pepper Too's first brush with an SNHD shutdown. Inspectors shut it down Aug. 30 last year with 45 demerits.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
