Sammy's Woodfired Grill Pizza to Fly into McCarran

Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and Grill is headed to the D gates of McCarran International Airport. Long rumored to become part of the new Terminal 3, Sammy's will instead join Terminal 1's food options of Jody Maroni's Sausage Kingdom, Baja Fresh and Burger King. Already housed in the post-security food court is a California Pizza Kitchen.

The 2,500-square-foot restaurant has publicly earmarked $681,000 for the construction.

The tapas and pizza chain is originally from La Jolla, Calif. Sammy's opened their first Las Vegas location in 1997 and now operates five locations locally. Run by the Ladeki Restaurant Group, they also own the Roppongi Restaurant & Sushi Bar in La Jolla, recently rumored to be considering an expansion to Las Vegas.
