Goldilocks Bake Shop & Restaurant at 2797 S. Maryland Pkwy. was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a routine inspection on May 15 revealed 50 demerits.

Inspectors found spoiled food, food held at the wrong temperature, staff not properly washing their hands and more during the visit to the Filipino bakery and restaurant.

The restaurant was shut down last year after an SNHD re-inspection found many of the same violations inspectors found on a Jan. 19, 2012, inspection. A routine inspection last November landed the restaurant with a C grade and 31 demerits that was upgraded to an A in December.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
