Take a look inside Pub 1842, the new restaurant coming to the MGM Grand from Michael Mina. The plywood came down and now the first look of the interior reveals the dominant bar and its old pub theme.

Look for Pullman booths and an elevated dining area. Wooden stools surround the bar that gets its extensive collection of beers from a new keg room.

The restaurant will not change in size, allowing 153 diners to choose from regular tables or U-shaped booths hugging the back wall. Stone mosaic floors, vintage print wallpaper, plaid fabric upholstery and butcher block tables add to the tavern theme.

At the front, a faux-pub entryway features new metal awnings and pebble glass panel doors.

Mina revealed some of the menu during Vegas Uncork'd.

Mina named the restaurant for the year Pilsner beer was invented, so expect a hearty selection of brews on the menu. More than 40 ales, pilsners, stouts and lagers will be served up from taps, bottles and cans. Pub 1842 also plans to serve beer flights for samplings as well as classic cocktails, a tip of the hat to the former Nobhill Tavern that closed on March 30.

The restaurant takes over Mina's former Seablue space that closed last August.
