The time where Wynn Las Vegas is without a celebrity chef may soon come to an end. London gossip rag The Sun reports that Steve Wynn is in talks with shouty chef Gordon Ramsay and his pal soccer star/underwear model David Beckham to bring a joint venture restaurant to the resort.
"Steve has wanted the chef to join forces with him for years, then after Becks announced his retirement from footie, he floated the idea of an eaterie endorsed by both of them to his Vegas team," The Sun reports.
Ramsay and Beckham already plan to open Union Street Cafe with Mediterranean-influenced food and a daily changing menu in London come September.
"The Strip has never seen such fierce competition for food, but Gordon's places are full seven nights a week," an insider tells The Sun. "He's one of the best chefs in the world, so it's only natural that Steve feels he should have a place in his hotel as it's the most luxurious on the Strip. When you add David Beckham's global status into the mix it has the potential to be the most talked about restaurant in Vegas."
