Buckle up, Vegas. The big-name changes coming to the Venetian and the Palazzo are far from over. Already the resorts have announced Cake Boss Buddy Valastro bringing Buddy V's, an Italian-American restaurant to the former First Food & Bar space and Daniel Boulud bringing DBGB Kitchen & Bar to an unnamed space.
Now comes word that Mario Batali himself is ready to announce his latest project on Saturday during Carnevale.
Last December, Batali hinted that he was considering bringing a version of Eataly to Vegas. The chef already has Carnevino, B & B Ristorante and Otto Enoteca with his partner in crime Joe Bastianich at the resorts. In March, rumors flew that Batali and Bastianich would bring an ode to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx and possibly another gastropub.
The announcement comes during his Taste of Italy, originally called a Taste of Eataly, event at the Palazzo on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
The event, which goes for $60 per person, includes interactive elements at several stations representing his restaurants. All takes place in the Waterfall Atrium inside the Palazzo.
For tickets, call 702-414-9000 or head over to www.palazzo.com/carnevale.
