Just in time for Sip & Savor, Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group plucked up Kamel Guechida from Joel Robuchon's restaurants at the MGM Grand and made him the director of pastry for the entire Puck empire.
Guechida plans to oversee the dessert and bread programs at all 21 restaurants of the Puck empire, plus international locations in Singapore and London. Guechida also will oversee the pastry menus as the group expands into new countries and cities.
Tonight, he makes his big debut during Sip & Savor at Spago at the Forum Shops at Caesars. The event starts at 6 p.m., with tickets running $120 in advance and $130 at the door at 702-369-6300.
Guechida plans to serve pistachio raspberry cupcakes, rhubarb cobbler, strawberry lemon panna cotta, chocolate banana bars, coconut passion fruit verrine, a chocolate Snickers tart, mango mini ice cream cones and assorted mignardises.
