Tropical Smoothie Cafe Empire Heats Up Again

Tropical Smoothie Café plans to open seven new Las Vegas locations this year to follow their June 1 debut at the Stratosphere. On the Strip, the chilled smoothie and sandwich joints already operates at Excalibur and Harmon Corner.

By year's end their franchise tally will have reached almost 30 outlets surrounding Las Vegas. A Pahrump location is scheduled for an August debut, followed later in 2013 by two drive-thru's in North Las Vegas, three stores in Henderson and one in Sun City Anthem.

All locations are participating in National Flip Flop Day on Friday, June 21. From 2 to 7 p.m. any customer wearing flip flops will receive a free 21-ounce Jetty Punch smoothie. Guests are then encouraged to donate to the related charity that supports Camp Sunshine, a project supporting children with life-threatening illnesses.
