Portions of the insanely huge Krave Massive make their big debut Saturday night at Neonopolis. Dubbed the world's largest gay nightclub at a stunning 84,000 square feet, Krave Massive has been a work in progress, originally slated to open in time for New Year's Eve. Construction delays moved the opening date back, and Krave took its show on the road after living in the Miracle Mile Shops for eight years, then in the Rio and now, with the final event tonight, at the Hard Rock Hotel.
This soft opening gives guests a chance to experience some of the multi-rooms that will be part of the club. On Saturday, the lobby and main dance room will be open to the public.
In the future, look for rooms dedicated to Latin, hip-hop, country and Top 40 music as well as a theater where the drag queens can showcase their skills impersonating the likes of Britney Spears, Adele, Beyonce and Lady Gaga. Look for a martini lounge, VIP lounge, gift shop and more. Tentatively, a grand opening is on the books for the Fourth of July.
Be on the lookout for the Boy Hunter, a sort of love doctor equipped with an iPad who will hunt down love connections for VIPs.
While the move from the Strip to Downtown gives the club far more space than the 14,000-square-foot version at the Miracle Mile Shops, the club also has a clever new way to fill those rooms. Caesars Palace and the Flamingo Las Vegas formed a partnership with the club to not only offer the Massive Package with rooms, spa passes and admission but shuttle service to the club.
