Avenue Bar & Grill has added a number to its name and has pulled down all its plywood in advance of a soon to be revealed debut at the MGM Grand.
The new Avenue 24 name has added digits to reflect the never closed nature of the restaurant. The rapid remodel replaces the former Studio Cafe, which closed in March.
The work falls under the Grand Renovation umbrella, which encompasses resort-wide restaurant changes, including the addition of Michael Mina's Pub 1842, opening today. The Studio Cafe dates back to 1993 when the MGM Grand opened with a Hollywood theme including a Wizard of Oz-inspired Emerald City Casino.
