The Monte Carlo's Double Barrel Roadhouse has released an overhauled concept design and been given an announced New Year's Eve 2014 opening date. The 12,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor space is a joint venture between SBE and MGM Resorts.
First revealed by Eater Vegas, the venture will be positioned perpendicular to the now demolished casino entrance that led to Andre's. The Roadhouse will stretch flush to the the large Monte Carlo sign that still casts a shadow over Las Vegas Boulevard.
The focus is live music and spontaneous entertainment, plus "craft cocktails" and beers available at the collection of small bars and American comfort food served in large portions. The mood is described as interactive with 'bar rituals'" and live performances on the elevated catwalks provided by resident "DB girls."
SBE released the new rendering through their new daily blog. The visual matches an early description of a "industrial and an old-world rustic barn saloon" created with corrugated iron and "rough–hewn wood "
Promoted by SBE as "stylish and high-energy, yet brave and masculine," the roughneck roadhouse feel is somewhat tempered by the revelation of external signage that promotes "coffee" and hot dogs. And inside, "approachable bottle service experiences" will be a new concept offered for guests.
