Wolfgang Puck's New Sunday Dinner; Rí Rá Breakfast

CRYSTALS — Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina introduces its new Sunday family-style dinner, a four-course dinner that includes family-style dishes. MANDALAY PLACE — Rí Rá has new items for breakfast as well as new several entrées, salads, starters and sides. Available from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, Rí Rá's new breakfast menu now has a breakfast sandwich made with egg, bacon and cheese on a grilled roll; a continental breakfast with pastry, fruit and coffee or tea on the side; and a pastry or bagel with cream cheese. New to the lunch and dinner appetizer selections: steamed mussels. New entrees include a worcestershire-marinated chicken and Mum's beef, pork and veal meatloaf burger. [EaterWire]

SOUTH POINT — Xelyna Rodriguez was honored as Student Culinarian of the Year for the American Culinary Foundation's Chefs of Las Vegas. Rodriguez received the award during this year's Chef of the Year Dinner. Only one candidate is nominated from local post-secondary culinary programs at the College of Southern Nevada, the Culinary Academy at the Art Institute, the Culinary Training Academy, Le Cordon Bleu and UNLV. Chef George Bailey was honored with a National President's Recognition Award for his work with the Chef for Kids Foundation.
