Looks like Valentino at the Venetian now has a closing date, and in a note of irony, the Italian restaurant plans to close on Bastille Day. John Curtas reports that July 14 marks last call for the 13-year-old restaurant from Piero Selvaggio. Chef Luciano Pellegrini won a James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef Southwest in 2004.
Rumors point to Daniel Boulud bringing his coming DBGB Kitchen & Bar to the space in 2014, although Boulud says he has not picked a location yet.
Last week, Selvaggio put his 41-year-old Santa Monica location on the market for $4.9 million for everything including "the real estate, the furniture, fixtures and equipment and liquor license."
