Family-style portions will be passed around sooner than anticipated. Carmine's, the New York conceived, family-friendly Italian restaurant chain, will open on July 1 according to a new update on the Forum Shops at Caesars Website. Construction plywood has recently been removed to reveal more frontage.
The two-level, 27,000-square-foot space replaces the relocated Planet Hollywood restaurant. With room for more than 700 guests and over 250 employees, the concept and emphasis is on volume. Many portions, including appetizers, are designed to feed four guests.
Coming to the Las Vegas menu will be linguine with clam sauce, rigatoni "country style" and a nine-inch high eggplant parmigiana, alongside familiar beef, veal and chicken dishes. Italian wines and cocktails will be supplemented by "new whimsical spirit creations." Over-sized desserts include Tiramisu and the Titanic sundae created with chocolate cake, five scoops of ice cream, pineapple, cookies and whipped cream.
Opening hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and extended until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
