Now Carlos Santana Has His Own Sparkling Wine

Sure, why not? Now legendary guitarist Carlos Santana has his own wine, dubbed Mumm Napa Supernatural Rosé. The sparkling wine is the second collaboration between Mumm Napa and the guitarist, who has a residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay.

The tête de cuvée, or top bottling, comes from specially selected lots from Mumm Napa's vineyards in the Napa Valley. Only 1,000 cases were made. The Supernatural Rosé cuvée comes from the 2006 vintage, made up of 100 percent Napa Valley grapes with a 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Experts note that the sparkling wine has the flavors of fig and blackberry jam.

The $65 wine can be found at the winery in Napa Valley and online at www.mummnapa.com or head to the Foundation Room, where it sells for $200 a bottle, or the music hall during Santana shows in the music hall for $100 a bottle. A portion of the proceeds from every bottle sold will benefit the Milagro Foundation, Santana's organization that supports non-profit organizations and programs worldwide working with children and youth on the arts, education and health.
