Bombay Indian Cuisine at 3049 Las Vegas Blvd. S. is the latest victim of the Southern Nevada Health District. The restaurant was shut down by SNHD after a re-inspection on June 6 found repeat violations and 30 demerits.
Inspectors found spoiled food, food stored at the wrong temperature, food unprotected from contamination, ineffective pest control measures and more.
The restaurant initially received a C grade with 38 demerits on May 6. Last September, SNHD handed out 40 demerits, one short of automatic closure, in August, and then shut down the restaurant in September after a special request inspection. It reopened four days later with an A grade and three demerits.
The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
