Pac-Man and Potato Skins — Previewing Gameworks

New, 1 comment

Don't pretend you aren't excited. Gameworks, the creators of ultra-upgraded video arcades, is coming to Town Square and building a 37,000-square-foot entertainment complex across from Meatball Spot. And they are including a 225-seat restaurant.

In addition to dozens of familiar video games including retro classics like Pac-Man, you'll find an eight-lane bowling alley, billiards tables, a laser tag area and a "tournament-ready" 100-seat console gaming section.

The restaurant is designed with sports watching in mind with a wall composed of 105-inch HDTVs. The food draws from the chain's familiar menu items. Appetizers include "Tex Mex Rolls," bone-in wings, nachos and house-made potato skins. Entrees lean to sports bar favorites, like baby back ribs, "build your own burgers," oven-roasted half chicken and desserts created in house.

Gameworks operated at the Showcase Mall next to the MGM Grand for 15 years, before closing in March 2012. A November opening is promised for this upgraded sequel.
