Re-inspection Shuts Down Mr Flames Taco Shop

Mr Flames Taco Shop at 4240 E. Lake Mead Blvd. was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after a re-inspection on July 12. An inspection on June 20 revealed 17 demerits, a C grade. This re-inspection racked up 21 demerits.

Demerits included a dangerous cross connection or backflow, a lack of hot and cold holding equipment and potentially hazardous food held at the wrong temperature.

The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
