Valentino, the Italian restaurant from Piero Selvaggio at the Venetian, received a reprieve of sorts. The restaurant was originally scheduled to close on July 14, but now comes word it will remain open until Nov. 2.
The 13-year-old restaurant from features chef Luciano Pellegrini's James Beard Foundation Award winning fare.
This does lead to a delay on the start of construction for Daniel Boulud's DBGB Kitchen & Bar, rumored to take over the space in 2014, although Boulud says he has not picked a location yet.
In May, Selvaggio put his 41-year-old Santa Monica location on the market for $4.9 million for everything including "the real estate, the furniture, fixtures and equipment and liquor license."
