One of the more interesting facets of Shawn McClain's new FIVE50 Pizza Bar at Aria is the street art that lines the walls. Look up to see the 15-foot high black and white mural that wraps 60 feet of the restaurant.
LA art collective Cyrcle created the collage of vintage photos and iconography that showcases the youth rebellion of the 1940s to 1960s. Many of the people in the hundreds of photographs in the mural represent icons of the era such as an Elvis impersonator and go-go dancers.
Cyrcle artists Davey Detail and Rabí spent six months designing the mural that features work inspired by FIVE50's gastropub atmosphere and craft beer selections and assembled the art over three days. Hundreds of photographs layer the mural in different mediums, such as screen printing, wallpaper adhesive, and acrylic.
Embedded in the images, a manifesto, "We are Vegas! We never die!"
