Akira Back's second restaurant opens in Vegas today at Mandalay Bay. Brace yourself for the modern Japanese cuisine with a Korean-American twist of the cuisine at Kumi by Akira Back, his follow up restaurant to Yellowtail at the Bellagio.

Walk inside to see a 10,000-square-foot restaurant with room for 300. To the right, a full bar, while a sushi bar replete with cobalt blue tiles in a scalloped pattern creates the centerpiece to the room. Giant cherry blossom trees grace the back rotunda.

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. The lounge stays open daily until midnight.
