Erik Chudy found a burger he likes. He takes a bite out of the peanut butter crunch burger at Pub 1842 at the MGM Grand.
"Upon first bite I was hit with a fantastic beef and char flavor that instantly brought me back to the Nobhill [Tavern] burger I enjoyed so much, but things changed a bit from there. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this burger but it had some flaws if I'm going to be my nit-picking self."
His complaint? The burger just isn't that moist. And the $17 price tag seems a bit high for a burger that's not as good as the Nobhill Tavern version for $15.
He gives the burger an 84 out of 100.
Brock Radke says the homemade curries at Penn's Thai House in Henderson are the real reason to go here. "There's a richness and affection to this food that is uncommon, even among all the other good-to-great Thai restaurants around Las Vegas." [LVW]
Heidi Knapp Rinella gives Montesano's Eateria a B across the board. She was disappointed in the meatballs served lukewarm and "almost mushy, so soft that they weren't meatballs at all but meat hemispheres because they were too soft to hold their shape." [LVRJ]
